Cassandra May is a Sydney-based writer/director. She studied at SAE Institute, graduating with a series of original short film projects and a team of incredibly talented collaborators. She has a particular love for comedy, writing stories that focus on human connections and exaggerate the silly happenings of everyday life. She loves to write stories that incorporate female and queer characters.

Cassandra’s experience spans across all areas of film, having also worked extensively in both the post-production and camera departments. She has contributed to projects such as the ‘Th-riff-ting with Jess Fuchs’ web series, ‘Fairbairn in the City’ web series and ‘Pieces’ by DICE music video which have collectively brought in hundreds of thousands of views.

Cassandra prides herself on her ability to create fascinating and high production quality films through the hard work and dedication of her team. This film marks her debut short since graduating from university. She is currently working towards the development of a feature film.
